'Survivor: Nicaragua' Episode 6 recap

The episode opens with Dan and Holly talking at the Espada camp about Dan's intention to "pack it in" and probably leave the competition. Holly expresses disappointment with this idea, saying that Dan should "suck it up" and get on with things on the island.

Later on the beach, Yve and Holly discuss the events of Tribal Council, as Yve expresses concern that she was unaware the group would be targeting Tyrone for elimination. Holly suggests that the group assumed that Yve and Tyrone were in an alliance but says that they should remain more "open and honest" with one another in the future to work together.

Over at La Flor, Marty and Jill are disappointed by their new tribemates, claiming that the young kids sleep all day and are undisciplined. Brenda admits her plan to vote one of the two out this week in order to flush out the immunity idol from the game.

The groups meet Jeff on the beach for this week's immunity challenge but are given a twist when told that both groups will be attending Tribal Council this week and be forced to vote out one of its members. This week's task will allow one person from each tribe to gain individual immunity as well as a reward for his or her tribe.

The challenge requires members to race out into an individual digging area where they have to dig up three separate circular rings which must be returned to a post at the other end of the group via a basket strapped around their waists. The first person to complete the task in each group will gain individual immunity and will go on to compete in a ring toss with the winner gaining a feast of chicken and beef kebabs for his or her teammates.

Holly is the winner of immunity for Espada and moves on to the final reward challenge while La Floor sees Jill grab the victory to save herself from elimination for the week.

During the ring toss, Jill is the first to land all three of her ropes on the post and therefore takes the feast for her group. Jeff tells the groups that La Flor will listen in on Espada's Tribal Council session later tonight while partaking in their dinner.

Back at La Flor's camp, the group congratulate one another on the victory. However, Brenda calls the celebration "fake" and says that she can tell Jill and Marty are plotting behind the backs of the rest of the group.

She soon meets with Sash on the beach and the pair decide to split tonight's vote between Marty and Kelly B. Brenda then speaks with Kelly B and pretends to go along with her plan to target Jill during tonight's elimination. Meanwhile, Marty approaches Fabio about forming a possible alliance with himself, Jill and Jane in the hope of moving into the final stages of the competition together. Fabio seems interested in the idea and the two discuss.

Back at Espada, Holly realises that she must work with the younger tribe members as they have the power to determine who will leave tonight. She names Dan and Yve as the possible eliminees for the evening but later tries to gauge from Dan whether or not he wants to stay. Benry, Chase, Naonka and Alina all discuss their choice between themselves with Naonka and Chase wanting Dan out while Alina and Benry seem inclined to vote against Yve.

At La Flor's Tribal Council session, the group openly discuss their reservations about other players on the team. Marty and his possession of the immunity idol is mentioned and he is questioned as to whether he believes the tribe will force his hand in using the token to save himself in the game. Marty insists that he is trusting his teammates because of conversations he's had with people over the past week.

Kelly B also admits to feeling confident in keeping her place tonight while Brenda calls out Marty and Jill as possibly targeting Jane for elimination. However, he denies this accusation and then admits that he feels less comfortable than before because of the "conniving and back-stabbing" he's seen in the group. He then mouths to Jane that she should vote for Brenda.

Before the votes are revealed, Marty is given the option to use his immunity idol but decides against doing so. The results are then announced as a tie is revealed with both Kelly B and Marty receiving three votes each. They then participate in a tie-breaker vote for one of the two to leave the competition. Kelly B is then eliminated with four votes.

"Going into tonight, I was pretty sure that there was a consensus on the tribe that we were going to keep the young people together, so to be singled out... I never got a vibe that I did anything wrong. I'm surprised," she said later.

La Flor are then given their winning feast and are allowed to watch in on Espada's session at Tribal Council.

After being questioned by Jeff, Dan accuses Yve of being "arrogant" and encourages his fellow tribe members to vote her out because of it. Yve admits to feeling insecure about her place in the competition but is firm in her belief that Dan should be the one to go.

Yve is then eliminated with four votes. She later says: "It's frustrating to be out of this game at this point. I'm disappointed in myself, that's what I came here to do.

"I came here to win but I certainly had no intention of going home at this point in the game. I think it was a mistake for them to let me go."
